The Company
Presidential Healthcare Group invests in healthcare facilities specifically in the Southeastern United States.
Our investment approach provides a platform for increasing healthcare services in both urban and non-urban markets. Our philosophy provides that non-urban markets are attractive to health care service providers. While non-urban service areas have smaller populations, generally only one or two hospitals exist in each non-urban market, resulting in fewer competitors. The monopolistic nature of the acute care hospital in these smaller markets also limits the entry of alternate site providers, which provide key outpatient services such as same day surgery, rehabilitation or diagnostic imaging.
Furthermore, the demographic characteristics of non-urban markets and the dominance of the local hospital also make non-urban unattractive to managed care organizations. Finally in most non-urban markets, the synergy between patients and physicians result in loyalty that fosters cooperative relationships among the local hospital, physicians and patients.
